Ï have a 2012 Alhambra TDI (Mk2). The front wipers and washer motor do not work. for both to fail at same time it must be fuse or relay as that is common to both systems… Rear wiper and washer are ok.
I cannot find the fuse of relay for the front wipers, what is the fuse number and location and where are the relays. This happened after I replaced front suspension units so had to remove the wiper blades to undo top bearing blocks. Maybe I disturbed a wire or overloaded by not having wipers at service position. The mechanism does not feel stuck.
Thank you so much, you have saved me hours of work chasing a problem that isn’t there. Yes, hood was open, I didn’t even know about that. Software engineer must have been on drugs. That makes no sense, how do you diagnose a leaking washer pipe inside the hood if you cant run with it open. Crazy!
Afaik it would lead to collision and damage if you ran the wipers with open hood.
So in the first place it makes sense to not allow that.
If you know what you are doing and you want to check the pipes, you can still remove the wiper motor’s fuse, trick the hood switch and then let the washer pump run. Voilá.
