Electric sliding door cable problem

The cable to the sliding door on my Sharan 7N from 2014 has jumped off the little tap and it cannot be put back on. The cable has been pulled almost all the way in, and the door „locks“ so it cannot go to where the cable can reach.

I read the factory repair manual that it is possible to put the cable motor control unit in „customer service mode“ and as it states (In customer service mode, the drive motor is uncoupled from the drive). This sounds quite good.

Can this be done by VCDS or do you need a factory tester?

I don’t know, i have seen the function, but i never activate them.
